Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has played down concerns over Cristiano Ronaldo‘s future and insisted that he will not be sold next summer.

There had been suggestions that Juventus were considering selling Ronaldo next summer, with a return to Real Madrid mooted as a possibility.

However, Paratici is adamant that Ronaldo will remain at Juventus, where his contract runs until the summer of 2022.

‘His future is with us, I can assure you,’ Paratici said, as reported by The Mirror.

He added: ‘There are transfer rumours every day and players that are linked with different clubs but we don’t pay much attention to that.’

Given that Ronaldo is in the latter stages of his career and Juventus have financial concerns, a departure for the Portugal international was seen as a possibility. 

However, the 35-year-old is set to stay at Juventus, and he is still capable of making a major impact, as shown by his brace in the 2-0 victory against Cagliari on Saturday.

Ronaldo has an impressive return of eight goals in five Serie A appearances so far this campaign.

Since he made the switch to Juventus in 2018 Ronaldo has won two Serie A titles and the Supercoppa Italiana.

He will be especially eager to secure Champions League glory with Juventus – Andrea Pirlo’s side are currently second in Group G with six points from three games.
