Kate Hudson reunites with her ex Matt Bellamy and his wife for their nine-year-old son Bingham’s birthday over decadent pancake breakfast
Kate Hudson prepared a lavish birthday breakfast for her nine-year-old son Bingham, who she shares with her ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy.
The former couple, who split in 2014 after a four-year-relationship, came together to celebrate their little boy with a decadent spread, which included pancakes that spelled out his nickname, bacon and fresh fruit.
While the 41-year-old Golden Globe winner didn’t make it into the picture, she snapped one of the birthday boy, his father, Hudson’s 16-year-old Ryder and Matt’s wife Elle Evans, who held their one-month old daughter Lovella on her lap.

In addition to sharing an adorable throwback video of her then-tot in a Spider-Man, Kate shared an image of her youngest son holding a birthday card with a big grin on his face.
‘And then he was 9…. On this day I labored first 18 hours and pushed for 4 and a half,’ she recalled. ‘The Dr said his heart was as strong as an ox and that I just needed to stay in it and stay strong with him.’
While she felt ‘tired and weak’ during her lengthy labor, she revealed a nurse ‘pulled’ her through by turning ‘up his beautiful heart beat and it was so powerful.’

‘He came out with a big scream and cry and then we cried together. Both exhausted,’ she told her 12.1 Instagram followers, before explaining she believes every child shows who they are ‘from the very beginning.’
‘Bings birth taught me something immediately,’ she noted, listing off how to ‘be patient, to be in tune with him’ and understand he is ‘strong willed and beats to his own strong drum.’
Additionally, Hudson revealed that her middle schooler likes to control his own narrative, is a strong leader and ‘feels everything.’

‘Today, these things still stand true. And yet tomorrow’s another day and I just can’t wait to discover all the shifts and changes of this incredible sweet human that I so thankfully can call my son,’ she concluded.
On his own Instagram, Matt shared an close-up look at Bingham’s pancakes, a throwback of his son holding his newborn sister and an impressive video of him surfing.
The Fabletics co-founder also marked the occasion with childhood footage of Bingham being put in a Spider-Man by his mother in their living room.

In the recording, Kate looks in awe of her youngster, as she pulls his little arms through the costume.
The look was made complete with a hood, which the then-toddler immediately pulled off.
The mother-of-three also shares a one-year-old daughter with her longtime beau, Danny Fujikawa.
