And Katie Holmes has passed down her style sensibilities to her daughter, Suri Cruise.
The actress, 41, and her daughter, 14, were all dressed up a for a girls’ day in New York City on Saturday.

Katie looked fabulous as she stepped outside in a ruffled plaid dress which flashed a hint of leg and accentuated her slim torso.
She wore her hair down, a pair of shades, a midnight blue face mask and matching tote bag.
Suri, meanwhile, looked like a mini fashionista in her flowing blue dress with gold sandals and a hot pink face mask strapped across her face.
The teen braided her brunette hair whilst carrying her cell phone close.

When Katie is not providing fashion inspiration for the masses, she is lending her voice to the the political agendas near and dear to her heart.
Most recently, the Batman Begins star announced on Instagram that she would be voting for presidential hopeful Joe Biden in the upcoming election.

Katie shares Suri with her ex-husband, celebrity Scientologist Tom Cruise, whom she was married to from 2006 to 2012.
Katie’s divorce from Tom, which she filed in 2012, was finalized only 10 days later, with her retaining primary custody of Suri, though Tom could visit, according to People.
Katie recently opened up about life in quarantine with Suri in a recent interview with The Telegraph, while remotely promoting her new film The Secret: Dare to Dream.
‘I like to keep [Suri] out of my interviews, but I will say that this time of quarantine has been such a lesson.’
‘Just really looking at everything you have and celebrating the simplicity of making dinner and [spending] that time together,’ she concluded.
