Incredible moment brave kelpie named Tilly dives into the water to scare off a SHARK swimming close to her owners on the Great Barrier Reed

The moment a brave kelpie chases after a shark swimming close to its owners in shallow water has been captured on video.
Jack Strickland was filming the shark when his dog Tilly bounded through the water on the privately-owned Haggerstone Island Resort in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park off Far North Queensland on October 10.
Mr Strickland, who runs a blog called Back 2 Basics Adventures, posted the video to Instagram last week with the caption: ‘Tilly the guard dog keeping the sharks away from Haggerstone Island.’

Tilly then sprinted through the water and leaped towards the shark, making a big splash and blocking view of the marine beast.
She then swam into deeper waters searching for the shark before coming back and sitting on the shore, satisfied she had fended off the large fish.
