Jodie Comer lets her hair down on the Irish coast as Killing Eve star takes a summer break after winning her second consecutive TV Choice Award

The whereabouts of Villanelle may well be unknown, but the actress who brought the Russian contract killer to life was relaxing in Ireland over the weekend. 

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Killing Eve star Jodie Comer shared a series of holiday snaps after visiting a beach on the picturesque Irish coast. 

With a blue beach towel draped across her shoulders, the Liverpudlian actress, 27, pictured herself on a pebble beach following a dip in the sea.

With a black swimsuit partially visible and her wet hair pushed back across her head, Jodie appeared to be drying off while surrounded by other holidaymakers. 

Captioning the shot, she wrote: ‘Thanks a mill Ireland.’ 

The British star also shared a close-up of her goose-pimpled legs, with a captioned emoji indicating that she was freezing, despite the sun being out.

Pretty pictures of the Irish coastline and the still blue waters surrounding it completed a set of four images shared with her 1.6 million followers.

Jodie appeared to be taking a well earned break after scooping Best Actress for the second year in a row at the virtual 2020 TV Choice Awards on September 7th 

She beat out fierce competition from Vera’s Brenda Blethyn, Normal People star Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Our Girl’s Michelle Keegan thanks to her role as the ruthless assassin Villanelle.

Accepting the award from home, she said: ‘I just wanted to pop in and say a huge thank you to everybody who voted for me this year. Thank you! Your continued support means so much, and I want you all to know that it doesn’t go unnoticed.

‘I hope that we can bring you the season four you deserve sooner rather than later, but it will be worth the wait. In the meantime take care and thank you very much.

‘I hope we can bring you the fourth season that you all deserve. But, It will be worth the wait. In the meantime take care!’

Killing Eve has already been renewed for its fourth series, though it remains to be seen when filming will begin due to the COVID-19 crisis.
