Just when you thought you knew everything there was to know about the Kardashians, one of the members of the famous family comes out with another very surprising story.
This time, it was none other than Kim, 38, who revealed that she and her sister Khloe, 34, once stole a pair of Dior sunglasses during what she described as a ‘funny’ incident while they were on vacation in Hawaii as teenagers.
‘We were in Hawaii and there was this Christian Dior store and no one [was working] there. Like, it was [in] the wild…just an empty store,’ she told Bustle of how the theft occurred. ‘Khloe really wanted the Dior sunglasses, so she took them and we walked out.’

It’s unclear how old Kim and Khloe, 34, were at the time of the theft, but Kim said she was a teenager; it is also not known how much the shades were priced at, but Dior sunglasses can currently cost anywhere between $350 and $600, depending on the style.
Far from being just an impulse grab, however, Kim added that she still has the sunglasses today.

‘These sunglasses were everything,’ she admitted. ‘I still have them to this day and they were so much fun. So cute.’
Speaking in more detail about the incident, the reality star seemed to have little remorse over the theft, admitting that she still finds the incident funny to this day.
‘That was so funny,’ Kim said.
‘We were like, “This is wild.” I think the [employee] must have gone to the bathroom or been in the back by herself on a Sunday.
‘I don’t know what the story was, but it was really funny.’
The cheeky sunglasses story comes as Kim launched her own line of shades in partnership with German brand Carolina Lemke — no shoplifting required.
On April 2, Kim’s seven-shade line officially launched to the public and are all priced at $90.
‘It’s nice to have a company that will really listen to your direction, really wants to collaborate, and have me actually design everything from start to finish,’ Kim said about the partnership.
Her shoplifting story was not the only thing causing waves during the launch. Kim decided to send out press boxes with a mask of her face wearing the shades to people.

Chrissy Teigen, Kimora Lee Simmons, Kylie Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian all shared on their own social media accounts videos of the Kim masks and new shades.
‘Packages from my sister are the best,’ Kylie, 21, said in an Instagram story. ‘This PR is so creepy and so cool at the same time. I love it.’
Although the press packages were creepy in appearance, they did their job to raise awareness about the new launch from the reality star.
‘As soon as I saw them I said, this is our press box,’ Kim told Bustle about the packaging, as she revealed her face was digitally scanned to create the masks. ‘Like, it just clicked. I was like, this is what it has to be. I’ve never seen anything like it. I thought it was cute.’
Kim, who notably was told by husband Kanye West in an email to stop wearing big shades, said she was influenced by the 90s and other trends for the new collection.
‘There is something for everyone. I want everyone to feel included with this collaboration,’ Kim said in a statement about the first release.
‘We’ve included everything from a big statement shield to a really simple, classic shape.’
