A sleek breakfast booth is the main drawcard of the five-bedroom house in Tempelstowe, 16 kilometres north-east of the Melbourne CBD, which was created over 18 months by Adam Kane Architects in collaboration with Chamberlain Property developers and builders AABM.

Flushed into the back of a marble island, the booth was added as a last-minute design change to maximise floor space in the kitchen of the 397sqm two-storey, which is also kitted out with stone benchtops, European appliances and timber joinery.

Listing agent Todd Lucas, who is overseeing the sale of the property for local realtors Barry Plant Doncaster East, said the booth was something he had ‘never seen’ in a private residence.

‘It only came on the scene in the last two months,’ he told realestate.com.au.

The ultra-modern house, which is slated for auction on April 17 with a guide price of $1.55million to $1.69million (AUD), boasts high ceilings, wide, open hallways and enormous windows that stream sunlight into every corner.
