A tiny kitten is fighting for life after being born with two heads in Thailand.

The frail creature was delivered by caesarean section in the central Ratchaburi province, on Monday night and needed CPR to stay alive.

Owner Chabaprai Nilpet, 52, has described her miracle pet as a ‘lucky charm’ and given her two names – Ngern and Thong, meaning money and gold.

The frail kitten – called Ngern and Thong, meaning money and gold – was delivered by caesarean section

Chabaprai came home from work to find her Persian cat Snow struggling to give birth.

She had already delivered one healthy kitten but the other two in the litter wouldn’t come out so she rushed her to the vet who performed an emergency caesarean section.

Medics had to give the bicephalic kitten CPR as she was barely breathing because her heart and lungs were so weak.

Incredibly, they managed to keep her alive and she is now at home with her brother and sister.

The cat lover said she has to use a syringe to feed both heads as they cannot drink their mother’s milk.

Chabaprai said: “I love cats so much and have been raising them for more than 10 years.

‘This is the fourth litter by my beloved Snow, but it was the first time that she has given birth to a two-headed kitten.

‘I have tried to look at this positively, like they are a lucky charm, because it was so unusual.

‘The kitten needs to be fed by syringe and needs regularl chest rubs to spur the internal organs, but I will try my best to help them stay alive.

‘I love cats and my experience of raising them will help to keep care for this one.’
