Larry Emdur says he didn’t remember Morning Show co-star Kylie Gillies’ name for the first SIX MONTHS they worked together – as they celebrate 14 years on the show
Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies celebrated 14 years on The Morning Show this week.
And Larry, 56, admits that he never thought the show would last so long – to the point where he didn’t even try to learn 54-year-old co-star Kylie’s name at first.
‘I didn’t even fully commit Kylie’s name to memory until about the six-month mark,’ he joked to The Herald Sun on Saturday.

Kylie said in response: ‘What was I then – audition girl No. 5? I hung on to Larry real tight and I’ve never really let go.’
The pair however say they have become good friends over the years and forged a relaxed bond.

‘It’s easy and a respectful relationship. And I think that comes across to viewers watching,’ Kylie said.
Larry added: ‘She’s saying the relationship is easy. But seriously, with these sort of hours on live television, you can’t fake it.
‘We are very much reliant on each other to get us through the fun and the not-so fun interviews. Easy is the right word – we’re always there for each other.’

The TV stars each shared Instagram posts to celebrate the milestone this week, as well as posting images of their on-set celebrations.
Kylie wrote: ‘You look at me, like I look at cake! Love? Adoration? Or you can only consume it in small amounts before you feel just a little bit sick!!!
‘Love you more than there are kilojoules in this birthday cake. Celebrating our 14th birthday, our incredible and hardworking team.
