MAFS’ Ryan Gallagher reignites feud with Davina Rankin on I’m A Celebrity

Married At First Sight’s Ryan Gallagher reignited his feud with ex-‘wife’ Davina Rankin on I’m a Celebrity this week, two years after her infamous ‘affair’ behind his back. 

The 31-year-old opened up old wounds on Tuesday by saying he never had feelings for Davina, 28, during their ‘marriage’ – even before she kissed another groom. 

Reflecting on their time together, he said: ‘Oh that was nothing, I didn’t like her and I like Charlotte [Crosby, his I’m a Celebrity co-star]. There was no feelings whatsoever.’

Discussing Davina’s betrayal on MAFS in 2018, he added: ‘I just felt like an idiot because I didn’t see what was coming. I felt like a dipstick on camera. I didn’t feel heartbroken, I just felt like an absolute idiot.’

Ryan concluded: ‘It hasn’t made me fear marriage or anything. If anything, it makes me want to get married properly.’

He had previously taken a swipe at Davina when he arrived in the jungle on Sunday. 

Introducing himself to viewers, he said: ‘I’m Ryan Gallagher, and a few of you may know me from my terrible experience… yes, it was terrible, on MAFS.

‘I’m up for meeting animals. Giraffes, rhinos, cheetahs. I’m used to a lot of cheetahs… e.g. cheating.’

After Ryan and Davina’s season of MAFS aired in early 2018, the former couple had several public spats. 

Davina was branded a ‘villain’ and suffered a backlash from the public, while Ryan launched a stand-up comedy career.

He would often mock Davina on stage and, after comparing her to a pig at one show, the brunette threatened legal action.

After this, the pair seemed to bury the hatchet and were spotted attending the Logies together as friends in May 2018. 

While Ryan’s comments in the jungle have risked reigniting their former feud, Davina seems to be having the last laugh this time. 

In fact, a cursory glance at her social media posts shows that her ex is the furthest thing from her mind at the moment. 

Instead of firing back, she has completely ignored Ryan’s debut on I’m a Celebrity and instead focused on documenting her family life on Instagram.

Over the past few days, Davina has shared videos of herself and her boyfriend, Jaxon Manuel, settling into their $540,000 cottage in Brisbane with their two-month-old daughter, Mila-Mae.
