The 28-year-old rose to fame earlier this year as a groom on MAFS. He was ‘married’ to Connie Crayden, but the couple chose to leave the social experiment single when they filmed their final vows last December.

‘I didn’t think I could laugh so much with my partner,’ Jonethen said of finding love after reality TV with someone he gels with.

The Queensland-based FIFO worker claimed their romance had been almost a decade in the making.

‘We’ve known each other for about eight years, but Lilli has always worked away,’ he said of his professional dancer girlfriend.

However, Jonethen said she returned home amid the coronavirus pandemic, which gave him the opportunity to court her.

‘It gave me the chance to finally take her on a date, eight years in the making. The date went amazing, and since then we’ve been basically inseparable,’ he said.

Shortly after making his new relationship Instagram official on Sunday, many of his former co-stars commented congratulatory messages.

KC Osborne commented ‘Y’all are a bit cute’, Ivan Sarakula wrote ‘Big statement’, while Steve Burley simply showed his support with three heart emojis.
