  • Footage was captured by Kechelle Wilson’s on her Ring doorbell camera

This is the comical moment a mailman decides to take a well-earned break and create a snow angel while out on his route in freezing temperatures.

Footage captured by Kechelle Wilson’s Ring doorbell camera in Louisville, Kentucky, shows the postal worker drop his bag onto the ground and effortlessly cartwheel into the blanket of snow outside her house.

The mailman then begins to spread out his arms and legs in order to create a snow angel before picking up his bag and continuing along his route.

Ms Wilson, who captured the footage on February 18, later shared the clip on social media alongside the caption: ‘Y’all look what I caught my mailman doing.’

The comical scenes came just after Storm Uri wreaked havoc across the country last week and blanketed Kentucky with around six inches of snow.

During the clip, the mailman stands at the front of Ms Wilson’s house and places his bag on the floor.

He cartwheels into the snow and begins to spread out his arms and legs in order to make the angel.

With his snow angel now complete, the worker gets back to his feet and continues along his way.

Ms Wilson later told Storyful that the mailman in the footage was Taron Goree.

She said: ‘Please give him credit for his personality and humor, as he is the reason for the video going viral.’

The comical footage has since seen an array of responses from users praising the postal worker’s efforts, with one saying the worker was ‘living his best life’.

Last week Storm Uri wreaked havoc across the country and saw a staggering 73.2 per cent of the 48 contiguous states covered in snow, according to the National Operational Hydrologic Remote Sensing Center.

It marked the most snow coverage since data collection began back in 2003.

Power supplies across the country also failed in the extreme cold, including natural gas-fired power plants that were knocked offline amid icy conditions.

Across Texas, Georgia and Alabama, the icy weather either led to the closing of vaccination sites outright or held up the necessary shipments, with delays expected to continue for days.
