Malin Andersson has revealed that she is the happiest she has ever been and that being ‘super skinny’ left her ‘utterly miserable’.

The former Love Island star, 26, has discussed body positivity in a new interview and shared a collection of candid bikini snaps to her Instagram.

In a chat with this week’s Closer magazine, Malin spoke about how important her unairbrushed social media photos are to her.

She said: ‘I love posting my lumps, bumps and cellulite for the world to see.’ 

Malin revealed that her ‘toxic’ relationship with food and body image started when she began entering beauty pageants aged 16. 

The reality star admitted that it became all-consuming to the point she was weighing herself after every meal and would even faint from hunger as an air steward. 

Love Island also had a negative impact on Malin’s relationship with her body with the influencer feeling ‘fat’ and ‘ugly’ on the ITV2 dating series.

She was so affected by online trolling, the reality star received £7,000 worth of procedures which included a bum lift, liposuction and a boob job.

Malin has vowed to never have surgery ever again and insisted that it’s ‘against everything’ she stands for now.  

She added that being ‘super skinny’ made her ‘utterly miserable’ and it wasn’t until she got pregnant in 2018 that her view of body image shifted. 

Discussing her pregnancy, Malin said: ‘Becoming pregnant changed everything. I saw my body as this incredible thing that was harbouring life and I knew I had to take care of it. Everything else seemed insignificant.’

Her daughter, Consy – named after her late mother who died in 2017, tragically passed away in January 2019 after she was born seven weeks premature. 

Malin admitted that she considered ending her own life after losing both her baby daughter and mother but therapy saved her.

She added that putting her own experiences with eating disorders and grief on her social media has helped her, sweetly saying if she inspires just one person, it’s worth it.

Malin now has a healthy relationship with food and her body, she insisted: ‘I don’t worry about my weight anymore and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.’

The reality star added that she doesn’t deny herself anything to eat and she recently gave up alcohol during lockdown, which has left her more energised.

Posting a video of her sensational figure, the reality star captioned it: ‘LEAVING CORFU WITH A PERIOD N SOME POUNDS BUT ALSO FEELING MASELF. Bye.’

Malin’s 646K fans were left in awe of the reality star as they hailed her an ‘absolute inspiration’.
