Man shot in Woodville North as police close the street to investigate

Mystery as a man walks into a hospital with gunshot wounds to his legs – as police close down a neighbourhood street to investigate

A suburban neighbourhood has been closed down by police after a man walked into a hospital with gunshot wounds to his legs.  

Police were called to Owen St in Woodville North, in Adelaide‘s north west, just after 12.30pm on Thursday after members of the public reported hearing gunshots. 

A few minutes later, 45-year-old man presented at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with gun shot wounds to his legs. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

He was transferred to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers have cordoned off the street and are speaking to a number of residents to determine what happened. 

Western District CIB detectives are investigating.
