The 22-year-old has been one of the surprises of the Ligue 1 season following his £450,000 move from Monaco last summer.

According to Le10Sport, Manchester United are also showing interest in the midfielder and are willing to take on European giants PSG for his signature.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently added winger Amad Diallo to his ranks in a £37million deal with Italian club Atalanta.

New PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino got a close-up and personal look at Faivre, as he faced the Argentinian’s Parisians in their first home win under the former Tottenham manager.

Faivre has racked up three goals and four assists from 19 appearances this season and has popped up in important moments for his new side.

The Frenchman scored a winner against his old club Monaco back in October and also kept his cool to net a late equaliser against Lyon from the penalty spot.

Brest made the first move in this potential transfer saga back on Christmas Eve, extending his deal at the club until 2025 – meaning a move in January to Old Trafford would be highly unlikely.

Solskjaer’s hunt for a new midfielder took another recent blow after West Ham star Declan Rice reportedly told a friend he was not interested in moving to Manchester amid links.
