AS 2023 draws to a close, the Transport Ministry and local councils are introducing discounts on summons to encourage the public to settle their dues.
In August, during the full board meeting of the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ), Mayor Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim announced a flat-rate discount for selected parking and traffic summons from October to the end of December, allowing individuals to settle their fines at a reduced rate of RM10.
To commemorate MBSJ’s 3rd anniversary of obtaining city status on Oct 20, we will be offering a flat-rate of RM10 for selected parking and traffic compounds. This promotion will be available for three months, from Oct 1 to Dec 31,“ he stated.
“The payment for these compounds can be made through apps and online platforms such as the Smart Selangor application,“ he added.
However, it’s important to note that this offer does not extend to towing of vehicles, the use of differently-abled (OKU) parking spaces, abandoned vehicles, obstruction of heavy vehicles, and other specific violations.
