Mum discovers a miracle solution for sparkling floors for less than $2

How to leave floors sparkling in SECONDS: Mum discovers a ‘miracle’ solution for less than $2 – and it can be used on showers and cook tops too

  • A mum used Aldi’s laundry degreaser ($1.95) on her floors to spotless results
  • She has used the product on cook tops, showers, cupboards to similar successes
  • Hundreds claim the product removes the film from floors and makes them shine
  • But many warned using degreaser on floors can ruin their structural integrity

A mum has discovered that using Aldi’s laundry degreaser ($1.95) on her floors produces spotless results.

Aldi laundry degreaser for the absolute win,’ she wrote to the thousands in a popular Facebook group.

‘It has shown amazing results on my stone bench tops, shower, glass, cook tops, cupboards, and now floors!’

‘And all for less than $2 a bottle,’ she continued. ‘How good?’

The product is primarily a clothing stain-remover for 'greasy' and 'oily' stains

The mum claimed Aldi’s laundry degreaser has shown impeccable results on her stone bench tops, shower, glass, cook tops, cupboards, and now floors

The Di San Pre Wash Stain Remover is primarily used for ‘greasy’ and ‘oily’ stains on clothing, but the product has proven to be extremely versatile.

Hundreds were in awe of the mum’s unconventional trick.

‘These are the shiniest floors I’ve ever seen,’ wrote one woman.

‘Absolutely brilliant, I wish my floors looked like that.’

‘I use this on my counter tops all the time and it smells great,’ added a third. ‘Just like fresh laundry, not chemical at all.’

  • NO, I love my floor cleaner 9 votes

The mum further explained that high gloss floors are extremely difficult to clean as floor cleaners usually cause a build up that betray footprints soon after use.

‘But this product has removed all the film on top and polished them with very little effort from me,’ she added.

But others were not so quick to get behind her hack – and many warned of the adverse affects of using laundry products on tiles.

‘After a while stuff like this breaks down the grout,’ said one man.

‘This is really bad long-term,’ echoed another. ‘It will completely ruin the grout.’

Grout is an important part of flooring as it keeps moisture out of the substrate, helps keep tile lines straight, and prevents tiles from rubbing against one another and cracking.

But others had different complaints.

‘I used it on my shower once but never again,’ wrote one woman. ‘It didn’t make the job any easier and the smell was awful and overpowering.’

‘I wouldn’t use laundry detergent on my floors,’ added another. ‘But I love Aldi’s degreaser for its intended use. Never had an issue getting tough stains out.’
