An Australian mum has resorted to using an unlikely product to remove the soap scum and water marks from her bathroom shower screen.
Julie, from Perth, shared before and after images to the Mums Who Clean Facebook group – which has more than 281,000 members – and revealed she used the California Custom Original Purple Metal Polish.
‘Thanks to the lovely man at Auto One, I have found the best thing to get calcium off shower screens,’ she said.

‘I’ve tried Fairy, BarKeepers Friend, Enjo calcium remover and CLR, nothing has bought my shower screens up like this stuff,’ she said.

Other social media users part of the online Facebook group were very impressed with how well the polish worked on the glass, as its intended use is to clean metal.
‘I swear I thought the door was open,’ one woman said, referring to the photo of the clean glass.
‘I’m so going to try this! Thanks for sharing,’ another said.
