A clever Australian mum has revealed how she used an unlikely $2 Kmart product to clean her son’s filthy sneakers.

Mum Carman posted photos to the Mums Who Clean Facebook group and said she used Kmart’s budget cleaning erasers, which are priced at $2 for a packet of six.

The laundry product is often used to remove stains from walls, material and clothing, but Carman said they worked well at cleaning the shoes too.

‘I’m sure everyone knows this but I thought I would share as I’m super impressed,’ she said online.

‘My son’s shoes were gross and dirty from day care so I needed to wash them.

‘I used the Kmart cleaning erasers and the white came up great,’ she said.

‘Love these erasers, they clean everything especially my shower bases and screens,’ one person said.

‘These magic erasers are so good for cleaning and so cheap!! Definitely recommend,’ another said.

‘Handy for cleaning on all surfaces, better than traditional foams,’ a third added.

The erasers are available in Kmart stores and online, if stock hasn’t sold out prior.

The ‘amazing’ results spoke for themselves as Andrea shared a before and after photo to the Mums Who Clean Facebook group, which exceeds 271,000 members. 

Her social media post has been ‘liked’ more than 1,500 times by other Australians who were impressed with the end result.
