The rideshare company will now allow users to see how many one-star and five-star ratings they’ve gotten from the person taking them to their destination.

Previously, Uber users have been only able to see their average rating from all the drivers who have picked them up.

Now, via the app’s new ‘Privacy Center’ which launched in January, riders and drivers will now get a breakdown of their specific individual ratings.

The Privacy Center can be accessed from the ‘privacy’ section of Uber’s settings menu.

How to view your Uber rider rating

In the app’s new ‘Privacy Center,’ riders and drivers will now get a breakdown of their specific individual ratings.

The Privacy Center can be accessed from the ‘privacy’ section of the settings menu.

Users can swipe right and select an option that reads: ‘Would you like to see a summary of how you use Uber?’

Then, scroll to ‘browse your data’ and tap ‘view my ratings.’

Once there, users can swipe right and select an option that reads: ‘Would you like to see a summary of how you use Uber?’

Then, scroll to ‘browse your data’ and tap ‘view my ratings.’

On that page, users will be able to see just how many good and bad reviews they’ve gotten.

The app also is revealing which major American cities have the best and worst ratings among riders.

Some may not be surprised to learn that New York City residents have some of the lowest ratings.

Both Seattle and the nation’s capital of Washington D.C. also score low.

Perhaps owing to both Midwestern niceness and Southern hospitality, San Antonio, St. Louis and Nashville all scored some of the highest rider ratings.

Uber has said that to improve your rider rating, you should be ready when your driver shows up, buckle your seatbelt and take your garbage with you.

Another tip: Slamming doors can lead to a lower rating, so Uber recommends you take care when getting in and out of the car.
