Donny van de Beek has returned from international duty in goal scoring form according to Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The United boss revealed the Dutch midfielder has scored some ‘crackers’ in training, after hitting the back of the net for Holland in the 7-0 demolition of Gibraltar.
And he is hopeful that the 23-year-old can kick-start his career at Old Trafford in the final games of the season, after a lacklustre start to life in England.

‘Donny scored some absolute crackers when we were all back in training on Friday’ said Solskjaer.
‘He scored some absolute top, top goals that I’d be really proud of myself and it’s done him the world of good, going away and scoring a goal for Holland.
‘We hope we can see a lot of that for the next eight weeks of the season and then to kick on again.
‘Sometimes it’s natural that if you don’t play and have injuries you lose a little bit of confidence and spark.
Van de Beek was on target for Holland during their 7-0 win over Gibraltar last week
‘Then you go away with your national team and feel good. I can talk from my own experience, sometimes I went back to play for Norway and you get the feel about yourself better.’
Van de Beek has failed to establish himself as a first team regular during his debut season at Manchester United.
The Dutchman has made just two starts in the Premier League, and has been kept out of the side by the sensational form of Bruno Fernandes.
A move away from Old Trafford has already been the subject of much speculation, however it appears Solskjaer has a strong desire to see the 23-year-old succeed at the club.
