An organisation queen has revealed five simple tips she swears by that help create a sparkling clean and clutter-free laundry. 

Perth mum-of-two, Carolina McCauley, uses two common household items to scent and soften her clothes in the wash: vinegar and essential oil.

She replaced her store-bought fabric softener with white vinegar for an affordable and natural alternative.

Carolina McCauley has revealed five simple tips she swears by that help create a clean and clutter-free laundry, she uses two household items to naturally scent and soften her clothes

White vinegar leaves her clothes and material items feeling softer for longer without the lingering and strong smell of the solution.

She also added a few drops of her favourite essential oils into the washing machine before cleaning her clothes to fragrance them.

‘Don’t overdo it on the laundry detergent,’ Carolina said.

The final tip Carolina shared is to always wash bathroom towels separately for sanitary reasons, as bacteria can be transferred between material items.
