People reveal the most UNHINGED habits they formed during quarantine

TikTok users are revealed the bizarre but harmless habits they’ve picked up during the pandemic, from watching every Disney+ movie in alphabetical order to collecting the creme fillings from Oreos and mushing them together into a giant ball.

TikTok user @moneyintheblank kicked off the trend, asking viewers: ‘What is the most benign and mundane, yet absolutely unhinged thing that you started doing during the pandemic?’

She then offered up her own very strange new habit, saying: ‘Every night at sunset, I eat a pickle. And it’s my sunset pickle.’

Commenters quickly chimed in with their own ‘unhinged’ behaviors..

‘I bought my cat and I matching red silk robes and I put it on us on Sundays and watch real crime shows,’ wrote user @uhohmomfoundmyurl.

Another TikToker, @kayteenesmith, said she fills a pitcher with water every morning and must finish before she goes to bed — which on the surface is perfectly normal and even healthy.

But whens she finishes the last glass, she yells, ‘Fully hydrated!’

Meanwhile, @kath.smith downloaded an app that shows all of the planes currently flying in the sky, and ‘now every time I hear a plane noise over me I check where that plane is going.’

TikToker @annaleezerr and her boyfriend ‘run to the window at 4pm to see a squirrel come home who we named Jerry. Sometimes he has leaves so we say, “busy day at the office.”‘

User @crunchy_tx bought cowgirl boots which she now wears while watching a horse shoe on Netflix, while @anacond.a said that because she frequently wakes up at 3 a.m., she now leaves a croissant on her nightstand to eat in the middle of the night.

Another user said that her whole family is treating a plastic duck figurine like a pet

‘I learned what all the birds mean according to native mythology and now I use them to predict the weather,’ wrote @dadelikemiami.

‘I put my stuffed animals in chairs and give them mugs so it feels like I’m working in a coffee shop when I’m actually desperately alone,’ wrote @hannahgw17.

TikToker @ngoesrogue said she now has three categories of socks — going out socks, walking around the house socks, and going to bed socks — while @maedowell notifies her cat when she is going to sneeze so she ‘doesn’t scare him.’

‘I started leaving peanuts out for squirrels, but since then I have bought them a little picnic table to eat them on,’ said @glampingall the way.

One ambitious commenter, @justalibit87, is watching every movie on Disney+ in alphabetical order, and is now 311 movies in — but only on the letter H.

‘I tell my dog everything about my life. And when I feel like she has done her fair share of emotional labor for me, I go to my rabbit and I tell him stuff as well,’ said @sweetbabycarl1.

Growing it out: One user has an extra-long eyebrow hair that she usually plucks, but she has been letting it grow during the pandemic

Several TikTok users have stitched the original video to share their own stories as well.

One of the most popular responses came from @candicegreat, who said that she no longer eats the creme middles of Oreos.

But instead of throwing them out, she saves them, sticking them together in an ever-growing ball of creme filling that she showed off for the camera.

Another woman, @failing_full_circle, told viewers that her ‘whole family is in on it like a communal descent into madness’.

‘We have a plastic duck. Her name is Martha. We move her around the house and then act like she got there on her own,’ she said, showing the duck in the kitchen.

Then there’s @mermaid_hales, who said: ‘I have this one blonde eyebrow hair that grows super long and I used to pluck it, but now I just let it grow out. It’s probably over an inch. It’s already fallen out naturally once so it’ll probably fall out soon, but I just love it.’
