Peter Overton’s priceless response as his wife Jessica Rowe purchases three giant reindeers

She’s the quirky TV personality who has been happily married to her husband Peter Overton for over 17 years.

But it appears Jessica Rowe’s hilarious antics still manage to surprise her husband almost two decades in, as she shared his priceless response to her most recent Christmas purchase on Instagram on Monday.

The former Studio 10 star, 51, revealed she had snapped up not one, but three giant stuffed reindeer decorations to place in the house in time for the festive season,

‘Should I buy another Chrissie reindeer?’ she wrote as a poll on Instagram, alongside a picture of herself posing with the stuffed animal.

After almost 75 per cent of people said yes, she confirmed the giant animal was in her basket. 

She then lined all three up in her lounge – next to her much smaller dog Daphne – before unveiling a picture of Pete’s unimpressed face staring at the camera.

‘Pete is NOT impressed!’ she captioned the funny shot. 

It comes after Jessica opened up about the pair’s marriage in a discussion with   Candice Warner on her podcast The Jess Rowe Big Talk Show.

Jessica revealed some of the darkest times in their marriage happened when veteran broadcaster was working abroad.  

‘You know my husband Petey, he worked at 60 minutes so he would spend eight months out of the year travelling,’ she explained.

‘We would always have our worst arguments just before he left on his trip, and then just when he would come back from a trip. 

‘I would want to put him in a hotel… I would say: “Can you just go to a hotel for a week, so you can get rid of the swearing, get rid of all the nonsense and then come back when you’re ready.”

However, it appears it’s a hurdle the couple certainly got over as she claims seeing him father their children leaves her feeling smitten after all these years.

‘You see your partner when he becomes a father in a whole new light,’ she added. 

In May, Jessica shared a sweet tribute to her longtime husband.

Uploading a gallery of images to her Instagram at the time, Jess, revealed the sweet reason why Pete, 54, was absent from reading the evening’s Channel Nine news bulletin in Sydney.  

‘Petee isn’t on the telly tonight as he has important work taking our darling Giselle to the Yr 6 Father Daughter dance,’ she wrote.

‘My heart is full – what a lucky woman I am,’ she continued.

The couple share two daughters together, Allegra, 13, and Giselle, 11.
