Phillip Schofield enjoys lunch with pals after TikTok user’s Snapchat claims

Phillip Schofield was spotted stepping out for long lunch with friends in west London on Thursday, as he enjoyed some downtime.

The This Morning presenter, 59, indulged with his pals days after it emerged that a TikTok user, 21, claimed to have exchanged messages with the star over Snapchat.

Oldham-born Phillip looked relaxed and happy as he headed to Chiswick’s upscale Villa Di Geggiano, before scrolling through his phone on departing the restaurant.

Joined by two women and one man, the beloved TV personality looked casually cool for the outing, donning a dark coat with faded jeans and a button-down shirt.

Rounding out his look with a pair of black suede Chelsea boots, the star enjoyed a spot of imaginary football at a bus shelter with one of his pals before heading home.

During lunch, Schofield took to Instagram to share a snap of the small group’s selection of drinks, as he wrote: ‘Lunch/dinner Sooo good to be able to do this.’

And the star showed that he wasn’t willing to let the great British weather dampen his spirit, as he shared a snapshot of the rain-soaked ground.

Explaining the image, he added the caption: ‘When the cover decides that it can’t hold the rain anymore… on my head.’

His outing comes after Oli O’Toole, 21, from Manchester, claimed to have been sharing messages over Snapchat with Phillip for three years.

Making the revelation in a TikTok video, Oli sang along to Miley Cyrus track Ordinary Girl as he shared the alleged correspondence between him and the host.

According to the social media user, he started messaging Phillip in 2017 when he was 17 with the pair continuing their interaction until last year.

Oli posted on TikTok: ‘Me when people find out me and Phillip Schofield Snapchat.’

In reference to his unexpected conversation with the TV star, Oli mouthed the lyrics: ‘Wish that they could see that underneath.

‘I’m just an ordinary girl. Sometimes I’m lazy. I get bored, I get scared, I feel ignored, I feel happy, I get silly, I choke on my own words.’

He captioned the video that has over 28K likes on TikTok: ‘I see the envy #foryou #funny #phillipschofield #snapchat #famous.’

A representative for Phillip and a spokeswoman at This Morning declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline.

To dispel any disbelievers, Oli shared a screen grab of Phillip’s verified Snapchat profile to the TikTok video.

Phillip is one of ITV’s biggest stars having hosted This Morning for 14 years.

Last year, he came out live on the daytime show in emotional scenes with co-presenter Holly Willoughby, 40.

On Instagram, he said: ‘You never know what’s going on in someone’s seemingly perfect life, what issues they are struggling with, or the state of their wellbeing – and so you won’t know what has been consuming me for the last few years.

‘With the strength and support of my wife and my daughters, I have been coming to terms with the fact that I am gay.’

Phillip, who remains married to Stephanie, moved out of his Oxfordshire family home and into a central London flat following the shock announcement.
