An out-of-control Uber Eats driver has ploughed her SUV through the front doors of a kebab shop, sending workers scrambling for safety.

The delivery driver had just picked up an order at Pimpama Kebabs on the Gold Coast on Tuesday night, when she accidentally put the vehicle into drive instead of reverse.

Luckily the woman behind the wheel and the staff were unharmed in the incident.

The car was left wedged in the shop and had to be removed by a tow truck the following day.

The damage bill for the shop has already reached $15,000 but the final cost to fix the premises could rise even higher as the clean up continues.

The family-run kebab shop was only purchased four weeks ago and has been forced to temporarily shut its doors fix damage.

Owner Akash Arshad told Nine News the driver was apologising but really needs to be more careful when behind the wheel.
