The Lott spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said it’s possible one Aussie could be walking around with the prized ticket in their pocket.

‘Our winner might have woken up this morning and gone about their day without knowing their winning entry is tucked in their purse, wallet or stuck on their fridge door,’ she said

‘Imagine discovering you were a multi-millionaire on a Friday, there is no doubt your plans for the weekend would change! Instead of mowing the lawn, doing the groceries or running errands, you could be celebrating with your friends and family.

Ms Spencer is encouraging lotto players across New South Wales to check their tickets.

‘We are in the business of paying prizes and we can’t wait to unite the winner with their prize, so we urge all players to not delay checking their tickets!

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said he was eager to unite the mystery winner with their multi-million-dollar prize.

‘There are 50 million reasons why all Powerball players who purchased an entry into this week’s Powerball draw from a Sydney NSW Lotteries outlet should check their ticket immediately,’ Mr Hart said.

26 ticket holders also won $30,636 in division two prizes and 88 people went home with $5,531 in division three.

The last $50million Powerball jackpot was scooped up in February by a lucky man from Mackay in Queensland.

The man said the winning ticket was in his wallet but he took several days to finally claim his prize.

‘I’m thinking about all the times I decided to quit smoking and now I need a cigarette to calm down,’ the winner told The Lott.

‘I only buy a ticket every now and again, but I’ve always thought there may only be a tiny chance of winning the big one, but you need to be in it to win it.’

The division one winner from the Powerball draw 1296 is urged to call 131 868 to start the prize-claiming process.
