  • Rangers host Celtic in the Scottish Cup last-16 today – kick-off is at 3:00pm (BST)
  • Steven Gerrard’s Gers could win the double after their league title triumph
  • But Old Firm rivals Celtic have won the Scottish Cup in the past four years

Rangers damaged Celtic’s season even further by knocking their Old Firm rivals out of the Scottish Cup at the fourth round stage with a 2-0 victory at Ibrox.

Steven Davis gave Steven Gerrard’s recently-crowned Scottish Premier League champions an early lead with an acrobatic finish from close-range, before a solo run from Joe Aribo forced a Jonjoe Kenny own goal on 35 minutes.

Celtic had several chances to force their way back into the game, the best of which saw substitute Leigh Griffiths earn the visitors a penalty, but Odsonne Edouard’s spot kick with ten minutes left was saved by Allan MacGregor.

Rangers advanced to the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup with a 2-0 victory over rivals Celtic
