Rebekah Vardy has confessed she is ‘deeply ashamed’ of her Peter Andre kiss-and-tell interview in which she famously compared his privates to a chipolata.
Speaking to Talk TV’s Kate McCann, in her first interview since losing the Wagatha Christie libel case, she added that she does not think the story should ever have been brought up in the trial, according to the Mirror.
‘That was a story I put my name to and that was something I deeply regret and I’m deeply ashamed of’, she said.
Rebekah said: ‘It was so long ago. Life for me was so different then.’

Her confession comes months after the infamous News of the World interview about the 49-year-old Australian singer was brought up by Coleen’s lawyer at the WAG libel showdown at High Court and Rebekah told those present that she ‘regretted’ the article.
Their showdown came after Rebekah sued Coleen for libel. Coleen had accused Rebekah of selling fake stories about her to the Sun three years ago.
The 40-year-old told Kate McCann in her TalkTV interview that she tried to explain the situation after the lawyer brought it up but believes that it was wrong for Andre to be brought into the trial as it had ‘nothing to do’ with what she was accused of.
The WAG also used the conversation to protest her innocence, breaking into sobs, maintaining that she did not sell stories to the Sun about Rooney and saying that she felt ‘let down’ by a lot of people, mainly the legal system.

Despite continually denying that she sold false stories about the WAG to the Sun, her face-off with Rooney saw Mrs Justice Steyn rule in Coleen’s favour.
She said that it was ‘likely’ that Vardy’s agent Caroline Watt had given the information to The Sun.
And she said that the court believed ‘Vardy knew of, considered and was actively engaged in this process.’
After the ruling, Rebekah said she was ‘sad and disappointed’ by the decision, in a statement, and said she did not believe or accept the decision or think that it was ‘just.’

The stories which Coleen claimed were fake included her visiting a gender selection clinic in Mexico, plans for her to work in television and flooding in the basement of her mansion.

Elsewhere, it is understood that her WAG rival Colleen has been in talks about a documentary series to tell her story, with Lorton films.
The company has also made ‘Rooney’ about her husband Wayne previously.
Speaking to the Mirror before, Coleen’s friend said that the documentary could be ‘the TV event of the year.’
They added that it would be a chance for Coleen to collate all of the evidence she has gathered in one place and explain why she thinks Rebekah spread the stories about her and others.
According to her friend, she wants to get everything out into the public domain and allow people to come to their own conclusions about Wagatha Christie.
It is understood that the show could be released by Amazon Prime, coming out laterr this year.
The Times has reported that Coleen could bag up to £250,000 for the show.
