Rebekah Vardy welcomes her FIFTH child with husband Jamie

Rebekah Vardy has given birth to a baby girl with her husband Jamie.

The footballer, 32, took to Twitter and Instagram on Saturday to announce that they had welcomed their third child together – Rebekah’s fifth overall – as he gushed that he is ‘totally in love’ with the new arrival.

In a post which his wife also shared, Jamie wrote: ‘Over the moon to let you know our beautiful little girl has arrived Becky and baby are both doing well and we are all totally in love with the newest member of our team.’

The news was announced mere minutes after Leicester City football club manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed that Jamie would not be playing in their Premier League game against West Ham United.

The boss confirmed that Jamie has remained at home with his wife to welcome their new arrival.

Brendan said: ‘Jamie Vardy’s wife had a child today, so he’s with her and congratulations to them.’

Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling also confirmed the news to viewers, saying: ‘And good reason that Jamie Vardy not being there, his wife Rebekah has just given birth to another baby. It was a boy… or a girl, we’re not quite sure on that.’

Rebekah and Jamie already have Finley, two, and Sofia, four, together, with Rebekah already having Megan, 14, and Taylor, nine, from previous relationships.

Jamie also has a daughter, Ella, nine from his past relationship with Emma Daggett. 

It comes after the television personality took to Instagram on December 19 to share a selfie of her growing baby bump, appearing to be anticipating her baby’s arrival.

Rebekah captioned the black and white snap: ‘Ready when you are, baby [love heart emoji].’

The star was met with well-wishes from her followers, who enthused: ‘Good luck Becky, hope it all goes well..merry Christmas x.’

Another predicted she would have the child on Christmas day, prompting Rebekah to reply: ‘Please don’t jinx me! Will be like a scene from Nativity.’

As the day of birth got closer Rebekah revealed she was getting through the uncomfortable final days of her pregnancy thanks to the help of her children.

Sharing a series of snaps from her quiet weekend she joked she was putting her children to work and was grateful for her eldest daughter Megan for giving her pampering footrubs.

Becky also shared a sweet selfie with her daughter Sofia adding a cute animal filter over the image.  

In August Becky and Jamie announced that they were expecting their fifth child as they took to Instagram to share a playful post with their brood.

The excited couple shared a sweet black and white snap of the WAG with their two children Sofia and Finley as well as Rebekah’s son Taylor from a previous relationship.

Each of the youngsters held up a board which had a message on it, Taylor’s said: ‘They can’t be serious??’, Sofia’s read: ‘The adventure continues…’ while Finley’s joked: ‘I’m so cute, mummy and daddy wanted another!’

Rebekah stood in the background as she held a sign which cheekily said: ‘Oh no…!’ while an additional message on the table had the unborn baby’s scan on it, it read: ‘Coming soon…’ followed by a male and female sign as well as a heart symbol.

The WAG captioned the sweet family picture on Instagram: ‘When 4 become 5….. so excited and so happy. Love my family more than anything. Love you JV…. Thank you for all the wonderful messages [heart emojis] xxxxx #baby5.’ 

While Jamie also shared the same picture as he added: ‘[Heart emojis] Beyond happy [smiley face emoji] love you Mrs V @beckyvardy xxxx #comingsoon.’

The footballer also decided to share a very crude remark about the baby’s conception as he led the comments underneath Rebekah’s post.

He cheekily quipped: ‘Ps… guess that pull out method didn’t work too well eh… [crying laughing face emojis] xxxxx.’ 

Although he also sweetly added: ‘You are incredible [heart emoji] love you all so much xxxxx.’

The announcement came after it was reported a day earlier that the couple were expecting another child together, Rebekah’s fifth baby in total. 

It was further added that the reality star and her Leicester City player husband were ‘over the moon’ at the happy news and ‘couldn’t wait’ to welcome another kid. 

A source told The Sun: ‘Becky and Jamie are over the moon that she is pregnant again. They can’t wait to welcome another member of the family.

‘They’ve got enough kids for a five-a-side team now, and to be honest they’d probably be quite good.’

The birth comes two months after Rebekah was explosively accused by Coleen Rooney of leaking stories about her to The Sun newspaper, which Rebekah fiercely denied – leading to the WAG war that captivated the nation. 

At the time, it was revealed by sources close to Rebekah that leading law firm Kingsley Napley sent Coleen a letter on her behalf demanding she provide them with the evidence she has against Becky so she could complete her investigation.

Rebekah called in a forensic team to analyse her Instagram account and identify the mole who sold the stories to The Sun.

Coleen was given the nickname ‘Wagatha Christie’ when it was revealed she had been leaking fake stories on her private Instagram to see who was passing the information to the press. 

She wrote on October 9: ‘For a few years now someone who I trusted to follow me on my personal Instagram account has been consistently informing The Sun newspaper of my private posts and stories.

‘There has been so much information given to them about me, my friends and my family – all without my permission or knowledge.

‘After a long time of trying to figure out who it could be, for various reasons, I had a suspicion. To try and prove this, I came up with an idea, I blocked everyone from viewing Instagram except ONE account.

‘It’s been tough keeping it to myself and not making any comment at all, especially when the stories have been leaked, however I had to. Now I know for certain which account/individual it’s come from.

‘I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them. It’s……… Rebekah Vardy’s account.’

She signed out with the message: ‘This has been a burden in my life for a few years now and finally I have got to the bottom of it……’       

Jamie and Rebekah first set eyes on each other while she was working as a nightclub promoter when she was hired to organise his birthday celebrations in 2014. 

Soon after getting together the couple welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Sofia, now five, in 2014.

Rebekah and Jamie married in 2016 in a glamorous ceremony at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, in front of a crowd of famous famous including Louis Tomlinson and Kasabian star Sergio Pizzorno. 

Two months after their nuptials the couple announced that they were expecting their second baby, a boy named Finley, now two, who was born in January 2017.

Rebekah appeared to have changed Jamie’s mind regarding another baby, as in January last year she told Closer magazine he’d put his foot down on having another child.   

She told the publication at the time ‘I was with Ferne [McCann] and her little girl Sunday, who is just so sweet! I mentioned [having another child] to Jamie.

‘[Jamie] was like, “No, absolutely not! No more!” We have a nanny to help us out during the week, but at the weekends it’s just us.’ 

Recently discussing their relationship with Fabulous Magazine, she said: ‘It took a while for me to trust him and I think the relationship we have now is the only relationship I’ve ever felt stable in.

‘I love and trust him. My husband ain’t like the rest of them. He’s so not. He’s so supportive of everything I do, everything I say and everything I stand for. He knows the battles I’ve endured and where I’ve come from to where I am now.’

While she completely trusts Jamie now, the former I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here star went on to say that if he were ever to cheat, she could never forgive and forget. 

‘I wouldn’t stand for it if my husband cheated on me, I wouldn’t put up with that in a million years,’ she told the publication. ‘If I was prepared to put up with that behaviour, where would my self-respect be?’

She added that due to her experiences, she previously thought all men were ‘dirt bags, cheaters and only wanted one thing.’

‘I always seemed to go for a guy who promised the world and delivered f**k all apart from cheating, stress and manipulation,’ she said. ‘And I thought that was all I deserved.’

Rebekah and husband Jamie live with their children in a secluded farmhouse almost 30 miles from Leicester in a remote part of the Lincolnshire countryside.

The couple purchased their home in 2016 after being inundated with late-night visits from strangers.

The fans reportedly banged on the gates of their old home in Melton Mowbray and rang the buzzer asking for autographs from the Leicester City player.  

Rebekah recently made headlines discussing her time in the I’m A Celebrity jungle, hinting the programme is ‘fake’ and revealing producers even tell contestants when to shower and what to talk about.

The star who took part in the 2017 edition of the ITV reality show, also said she was shocked at how many cameras are present in the camp.

Rebekah also claimed they re-shoot some scenes several times, including when the stars cross the bridge heading to their Bushtucker Trials.

Quizzed what surprised her the most about the show, Becky told Heat magazine: ‘How edited it is, even down to us walking to the trials. We had to do that walk three or four times.’
