‘People have tended to describe things this way.’ Said Lukakau

‘When they talk about [Robert] Lewandowski, [Karim] Benzema, [Luis] Suarez, [Harry] Kane, they would say it’s world class level and with me it’s always about being in good form.

‘In the last two years I think I have shown it’s not just good form.

‘I belong with that group, I am at that level.’

The Inter Milan star is amongst a host of players that have scored three goals at Euro 2020 so far, making him the tournament’s joint second-top scorer along with Robert Lewandowski.

He netted a brace during Belgium’s 3-0 win over Russia in their opening match and also scored during their 2-0 victory over Finland in their final group game.

That’s one more goal than France’s Karim Benzema and three more than Harry Kane who is yet to score at the tournament.

Lukaku was in inspired form for Inter last season; scoring 30 goals and notching ten assists to fire the Nerazzurri to their first Serie A title since 2010.
