Garcia was put on the call and said to ‘Tank’ on the Hotboxin podcast: ‘Two rounds, baby, two rounds. Two rounds, you going to sleep. It’s not gonna hurt. I promise you it’s not gonna hurt.

‘You gonna need a ladder to hit me. How tall are you? You 5’5’, you gonna need a ladder to hit me.

‘You gonna need a StairMaster. Boy, you won’t be able to touch me. You ain’t never fought a 135er in your life. This different. I don’t care what you say. You ain’t got nothing!

‘You too ugly to be champ! And that’s from Muhammad Ali. Boy, I’m pretty! You ain’t never seen nothing like me. I promise you, you gonna go down!’

Davis replied: ‘ We fighting next! We fighting next!’

That was exactly what Garcia wanted to hear, declaring: ‘He said it! The world knows, he said it, next fight! There’s no going back now.

‘Hey, look at me, I’m dancing! I’m dancing bachata on you!’

Tyson was so excited he joined in the dancing and then Garcia began to shadow box before pretending to knock Davis out with one of his famed body shots, the very same that did for Campbell.

Davis currently holds world titles at lightweight and super featherweight after knocking out Leo Santa Cruz in October.

He had previously appeared to confirm the fight was on with a post on Twitter, which he subsequently deleted.

He wrote: ‘Lol, when have I ever been a b****h?!

‘You know who you talked to 10 minutes before your ring walk. The fight’s already been made. Now shut up and get ready!’

After taking down his tweet, Davis later said: ‘I rather handle s*** with violence instead of speaking.’

The American has campaigned mostly at super-featherweight in his career although did step up to lightweight to win the WBA regular title in 2019 against Yuriorkis Gamboa and has long hinted about a move up to 132lbs, which is staked with big names with Teofimo Lopez, Vasyl Lomachenko, Devin Haney and now Garcia competing in the division.
