S Club Juniors: Where are they now?

The news of S Club 7’s reunion for their 25th anniversary has delighted fans of the beloved noughties pop group.

At the height of their fame, the band’s management had the idea to form a younger group known as S Club Juniors to support them at a Wembley Arena concert.

The group, which later became known as S Club 8, was formed in 2001 from the reality show S Club Search, with thousands of hopefuls auditoning.

The younger group was considered such a success they went on to support S Club 7 on all their tour dates and signed a record deal with Polydor.

Their debut single One Step Closer debuted at numnber 2 and they repeated that success with their second, Automatic High.

Ex-members Frankie Bridge and Rochelle Humes now have successful careers as presenters on Loose Women and This Morning.

FRANKIE BRIDGE

After S Club Juniors went their separate ways in 2003, Frankie, 34, remerged a few years later as a member of The Saturdays alongside Rochelle.

The group was put together in 2017 by the Juniors’ old record label Polydor and recorded their first album while touring with Girls Aloud.

Their debut record Chasing Lights was released in 2008 and was certified platinum. 

They followed this up with three more albums, Wordshaker, On Your Radar and Living for the Weekend before splitting up in 2013.

Frankie took part in the 2014 series of Strictly Come Dancing where she reached the final alongside Simon Webbe and winner Caroline Flack.

Family: Frankie is married to Wayne Bridge and the couple are parents to Parker, nine, and Carter, seven

That same year, she married footballer Wayne Bridge after three years of dating.

The couple welcomed their first child Parker, nine, in 2013 and his younger brother Carter, seven, in 2015.

More recently, Frankie has been a regular face on the small screen once again as a panellist on Loose Women.

She also took part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2021, finising in third place.

ROCHELLE HUMES 

During her time with The Saturdays, Rochelle, 33, began dating JLS star and former X Factor contestant Marvin Humes.

They married in July 2012 at Blenheim Palace and renewed their vows at a stunning ceremony in Lake Como last year.

The couple are parents to daughters Alaia-Mai, nine, and Valentina, five, and son Blake, two.

After The Saturdays called it quits, Rochelle quickly moved into presenting, appearing as a panellist on the comedy show Sweat the Small Stuff in 2013.

She and Marvin became regular stand-in presenters on This Morning and Rochelle continues to guest host the show with Phillip Schofield when regular host Holly Willoughby is absent. 

AARON RENFREE 

After the end of S Club Juniors, Aaron, 35, went on to become a part of the original cast of Flashdance the Musical which toured the UK in 2008/09.

He followed this with his West End debut in We Will Rock You the following year.

He has since carved out a career as a dancer, working with the likes of Taylor Swift, Little Mix, Kylie Minogue, Take That, Sean Paul, Olly Murs, JLS, Alexandra Burke and Fleur East.

Aaron was also an on-screen choregrapher for The Greatest Dancer on BBC1 with Cheryl, Matthew Morrison, Oti Mabuse and Todrick Hall serving as judges. 

STACEY MCCLEAN

Stacey, 34, tried out for a singing career again after Juniors, auditoning for the 2009 series of The X Factor but didn’t make the live shows.

She is now married to professional footballer Fraser Banks, with the couple parents to daughter Nellie, three.

Stacey, who is now known as Stacey Franks, regular gives her followers an insight into her family life on Instagram.

She has also ventured into other avenues besides music and ran children’s clothing store Little Franks and Missy Franks for women. 

CALVIN GOLDSPINK 

Calvin, 34, who was the lead male vocalist of the group, now lives in Los Angeles where he runs the company Breaking Sound which helps emerging artists showcase their talents. 

He also worked as a talent booker for the Peppermint Club in LA and previously appeared on the CW show Life is Wild.

He has since become a father, welcoming his first child Aya in February 2020 followed by another daughter Nova in April 2022. 

HANNAH RICHINGS 

Hannah, 32, was originally not part of the line-up but manager Simon Fuller said he didn’t want the group to go ahead unless she was part of it.

Hannah has kept in touch with her bandmates since their pop star days and served as bridesmaid at Stacey’s wedding to Fraser Banks.

She has since got married herself, tying the knot with Phil Blackford. The couple are parents to Finley, 12, Poppy, 10, Oscar, seven, and Pippa, two. 

JAY PERRY

Jay, 34, has carved out a career in the theatre since leaving his pop band days behind.

The actor trained at The Susi Earnshaw Theatre School and took on the lead role of Barry Gordy in Motown: The Musical on the West End in 2018.

He is currently starring in Sylvia at London’s Old Vic theatre and also shares glimpses into his love life with boyfriend and casting agent Oliver Scullion on social media.

DAISY EVANS

After S Club Juniors, Daisy joined the girl group From Above in 2007, with the group getting signed to Beyonce’s father Matthew Knowles’ record label.

However their contract appears to have been short lived as they later auditoned for The X Factor and reached the boot camp stages but didn’t make the live shows.

Daisy married footballer Jonjo Shelvey, who currently plays for Nottingham Forrest, in 2015.

The couple are parents to Lola, eight, Alba, six, and son Jorgio, two. Daisy now works as a makeup artist.
