‘We’re all in this together… except Sydney Water!’ Samantha Armytage is left OUTRAGED as she receives ‘a lovely treat’ – a notice for a price rise

Samantha Armytage was left outraged when she received her bill from Sydney Water on Wednesday.

The Sunrise presenter, 43, revealed on Instagram that she’d been informed her rates would be increasing from July, despite the water services company’s claim ‘they’re here to help’ amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

‘I just got my bill today from Sydney Water where they tell you they’re here to help… and then, oh, a price rise on July 1. What a lovely treat,’ she said in a video posted to her Stories.

‘We’re all in this together, except Sydney Water,’ she captioned the post.

Her post comes after Samantha revealed the important life lessons that she’s learned during lockdown in a column she wrote for Stellar magazine on the weekend.

‘We’ve realised how annoying it is to see celebrities crying about isolation from their mansions/massage rooms/private gyms,’ she wrote.

There are members of the population who think it’s OK to spit on police officers, who will hoard products, and that there are countries who are so, so, so much worse off than us,’ she added.

Samantha also called out some of her ‘smug friends’, saying they bragged a lot less about having the perfect husband when they were forced ‘to spend 24/7’ with them.

There have also been pleasant surprises for the journalist who realised how well her 68-year-old mother Elizabeth adapted to technology and using Zoom.

But the star revealed her biggest realisation this year has been that she’ll ‘never, ever, ever, take toilet paper for granted again.’
