Sasha Obama greets Beyoncé and Jay-Z at fancy Hollywood restaurant

Beyoncé and Jay-Z were spotted settling down to red wine together at the swank new Hollywood establishment Mother Wolf. The 40-year-old songstress cut a stylish figure at the well-appointed Italian eatery, warding off the wintertime chill in a scarlet sweater.

Former U.S. President Barack Obama ‘s daughter Sasha, 20, happened to be at the restaurant at the same time and walked cheerfully over to their table to say hello. 

Star-studded affair: Sasha, who was just seven years old when she and her sister, Malia, became the First Daughters, grinned broadly while heading over to Bey and Jay.

Beyonce wore her luxurious hair down and accentuated her screen siren features with makeup for her evening out on the town. 

Meanwhile, her husband opted for a casual ensemble, throwing on a white t-shirt and accessorizing with a black baseball cap.

Jay-Z and Beyoncé have been married since 2008. Together, they share three children: Blue Ivy, 10, and fraternal twins, Sir and Rumi, four. 

Meanwhile, Sasha’s parents, Barack and Michelle Obama, have been married since 1992. Beyonce was enlisted to deliver the traditional performance of The Star-Spangled Banner at the second Obama inauguration in January 2013. Shortly thereafter, she wound up mired in controversy when it emerged that she had lip-synced the national anthem to a previous recording of herself. She argued the measure was necessary as she is a ‘perfectionist’ and ‘did not feel comfortable taking a risk’ owing to how little time she had to rehearse.

‘I wanted to make him and my country proud, so I decided to sing along with my pre-recorded track,’ she said of the then president. ‘I’m very proud of my performance.’

When Obama first became president, the national anthem was performed by the United States Navy Band ‘Sea Chanters’ at the actual ceremony. However, during the inaugural ball that year, Beyoncé got a chance to perform, serenading the new head of state with the Etta James classic At Last.

The families have remained friendly since then. Back in 2018, Sasha and Michelle were seen attending a Jay-Z and Beyoncé performance in Paris.

While at the gig, they socialized with Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Lawson, even dancing with her in the crowd during the concert. Just one year prior, Michelle had gone so far as to dress up as Beyonce as a tribute to the Love On Top and Formation singer. 

Jay-Z was seen grinning on his way out from the restaurant.
