Saturday Night Takeaway viewers are left in hysterics as NHS worker wins highly coveted LOO ROLL prize amid coronavirus crisis

It’s normally the prize no one wants to win when they compete to Win The Ads on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

But after supermarket shelves have been left bare after panic buyers purchased all of the toilet roll amid the coronavirus crisis, viewers declared that the household item was not the top prize on the show.

NHS worker Natasha took part in the game via video link, earning the programme’s crew toilet roll after she chose to gamble her four prizes -which included a car- and ended up winning the lot.

‘The toilet roll has to be worth more than a second-hand Kia’: Saturday Night Takeaway viewers were left in hysterics as NHS worker won coveted item amid coronavirus crisis

Before she gambled, co-hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly joked about the toilet roll situation, as they asked the floor manager: ‘Who’s holding what’s normally the boobie prize but is now one of the top prizes?’

Amongst others, Natasha also won a TV, sofas, Deliveroo vouchers, and a subscription to Disney’s new video-on-demand platform Disney+.

Sharing their delight for her, Ant and Dec said that they were ‘thrilled’ she had managed to win everything as they wanted to show their gratitude for the work she’s done in her profession.

Up for grabs: As well as winning toilet roll, there were other household items available like air freshener and batteries

Ant and Dexc declared their first edition of the show without a live audience as being ‘a little bit weird’.

The pair opened their ITV show without a crowd, with the scaled back crew stepping in to provide the cheers and applause instead.

Meanwhile, the special End Of The Show Show with Olly Murs left viewers in tears as it was accompanied by audience members, including NHS workers and the elderly, dancing along to the star’s song.

In line with government guidelines to practice social distancing in a bid to reduce the spread of the virus, the pair were forced to keep the spirits up with just a handful of crew in support.
