Before the unrecognisable revamp, the kitchen featured light pink walls, white tiles and tan-coloured cupboards.

But Lili gave the room a new lease of life by painting the cupboard and walls grey, adding marble-effect Fablon to the counter tops and replacing the old floor with white laminated flooring.

Revealing how she managed to overhaul the kitchen on a budget, Lili went on to explain she found a three-for-two offer on cupboard paint at B&Q, and used laminated flooring and Fablon for the sides.

She also bought clear lacquer for £9 to coat her cupboards, and made a breakfast bar from MDF and Fablon.

Lili detailed how she bought the flooring for £97, and six tins of paint, which came to £36, from B&Q, a £15 bamboo blind from Argos and a £6 roll of Fablon from B&Q.

To add a personal touch, Lili bought a series of different accessories – including coffee and sugar pots for £19 from Facebook Marketplace, and a £1 tea towel holder from Poundland.

The thrifty homeowner also treated herself to a £10 vase and £5.99 tea light holders from The Range.

And DIY fans were quick to take to the comments section, praising Lili for her handiwork.

‘Absolutely beautiful well done,’ enthused one, while a second penned: ‘Looking amazing.’

A third congratulated: ‘You done a great job, looks beautiful.’
