Say Yes To The Dress star Hayley Paige list NYC home for sale amid legal battle

Wedding dress designer Hayley Paige has put her plush New York City apartment on the market amid a bitter battle with bosses who have locked her out of her own Instagram account and banned her from using her own name.

Paige, who shot to fame in the TLC reality show Say Yes To The Dress, inked a multi-million dollar deal with JLM Couture back in 2011 before she went on to become the company’s top designer.

But on Monday, the 34-year-old took to social media tearfully saying she had stepped down from her role at the firm after they sued her for breach of contract in a New York federal court.

On Tuesday, news broke that Paige had put her pad on the market amid the business breakdown as her future remains clouded in uncertainty.

The two bedroom, two bathroom apartment, located in Midtown Manhattan, has been listed for $2.79 million.

The recently renovated home features a stunning modern kitchen, floor-to-ceiling windows and a large sunken bathtub.

Paige hasn’t publicly commented on the listing of her home, which was first reported by Page Six.

24 hours earlier, however, the designer broke down as she told fans about her legal drama with JLM.

‘It is with a very heavy heart that I announce my resignation as a designer,’ she stated in an eight-minute video shared on her new Instagram account, @allthatglittersonthegram.

‘This decision comes on the heels of a year and a half long legal battle to negotiate a new contract with bridal design house JLM Couture, one that has resulted in them suing me and convincing a court to grant them temporary control and access over my Instagram account as well as my TikTok and Pinterest.’

Paige continued: ‘I am being very cautious about how I use my own name right now. According to the temporary ruling I am not even allowed to take down personal photos or conversations or thoughtful captions and if I wish to post or engage on the account I cannot do it without the permission of JLM President Joe Murphy.’

The designer added that she was ‘mortified and devastated’ at the actions of her former employer.

Paige says she signed her first contract agreement back in 2011 without a lawyer. She fell out with the company last year as they began to renegotiate the terms of her employment.

‘The conduct of JLM felt controlling, manipulative and bullying [during re-negotiations]. There was an overreaching into my personal life and creative freedoms outside of bridal design that felt like a violation of my good faith.’

A JLM spokesperson told The New York Post that  ‘the two sides disagreed over how much freedom Paige would have to promote her non-related side businesses on the company site.’

As per a New York judge's order last week, JLM have now seized control of Paige's original Instagram account, @misshayleypaige, which she started back in 2012

‘After Paige stopped posting JLM content and deprived the company access to her Instagram account, we brought the matter before the court. After carefully listening to both sides, a judge granted us the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO).’

As per a New York judge’s order last week, JLM have now seized control of Paige’s original Instagram account, @misshayleypaige, which she started back in 2012.

Paige says she does not believe that she should be forced to only post JLM-related material on the account, which boasts more than 1 million followers.

‘I have operated, controlled and manifested my account,’ she declared in her tearful eight-minute video.

The designer says she shared a myriad of personal things over the years, documenting her first marriage, her divorce and her struggles with anxiety.

JLM officials say they continue to hold Paige ‘in high regard and hope to resolve their differences.’

However, Paige says she ‘will not be bullied’ and has vowed to continue creating wedding dresses without JLM.

The legal case is ongoing.
