After making a promise to remain sober throughout 2020, Scott turned his attention to his diet and sought the help of his nutritionist friend, where he learned to count calories and macros, resulting in him shedding an amazing one stone since April.

The duo have since launched Food4Thoughts, a new business venture which helps clients to achieve their weight loss goals.

Speaking to The Sun, Scott explained that being in lockdown helped him ditched his ‘party boy’ persona and concentrate on changing his lifestyle.

He said: ‘Without sounding insensitive, lockdown was the best thing that happened to me. I was in a period where I was saying no to going out and staying away from certain friends.

‘It was definitely an element of leaving something behind – the so-called ‘Scotty special’ who I used to be – but I much prefer the Scott who I am now.’

Discussing about his body transformation, Scott added: ‘Being in shape and looking your best affects your mental health and how you feel on a day to day basis… I know the importance of exercise and how it makes you feel good and gives you confidence. I don’t want to lose that.’

And Scott, brother of former soap stars Ryan and Adam Thomas, seems to be proud of his new physique as he’s shared several hunky, shirtless snaps of his buff body in recent months.

He’s also showcased hit fitness routine as he’s shared videos of himself working up a sweat in the gym.

Back in June, Scott unveiled the physical results of six months of being tee-total and clean eating as he declared he was ‘n the best shape of my life!’

Scott shared a before and after shirtless photo to show off his newly-sculpted physique as a result of ditching the booze.

Alongside several video clips of himself working out, Scott wrote: ‘Special moment for me today! Celebrating 6 months no alcohol and finally reaching my goal of the best shape of my life.

‘Before I go on I just want to say massive thank you to my PT for getting me to this point. This may come as a surprise to a lot of you as it’s not something I’ve often talked about.

‘For years I’ve always battled with my relationship to alcohol. I made a living out of being a party boy and although I didn’t drink often when I did I would always take it too far and become a different person.

‘I’ve battled with this for years and although I’ve not had a bad life at all and always done ‘well’ so to speak there was always an underlying feeling of not reaching my potential.

‘I saw a therapist for years over this called Gareth who was a massive help in giving me perspective and I still check in with him once a month even now.’

The television personality said he made a decision at the end of last year to be completely sober for 2020 because his drunk behaviour started to ‘jeopardise’ his business.

‘To see something that I’ve worked hard for jeopardised because of my behaviour was a massive eye opener for me,’ Scott wrote.

‘This was a personal weakness I knew I had to get on top of to reach the level of success that I wanted so badly.

‘I booked a holiday to Abu Dhabi on my own and had a serious word with myself over there.

‘Picked up a pebble and stood in the sea and swore to myself I’d do 12 months. It was a scary thought but I was listening to Denzel Washington on repeat “to achieve something you’ve never had, you have to do something you’ve never done!”.’

Six months on, Scott says he is in a ‘much better place’ both in his personal life and business.
