A young couple have stumbled across a hidden cave overlooking the ocean that’s been dubbed one of Australia’s ‘best kept secrets’.

Katie Tuffery, 28, and her boyfriend spent two hours trying to find the hidden spot nestled between rocks on the cliffside of Jervis Bay on New South Wales‘ south coast.

After seeing videos of the secluded location on social media, the couple decided to make the daring trek up the coastline themselves – adding the climb was definitely worth it.

TikTok users replied saying it looked like the famed Fisho’s Hut, which is built into the cliffs of Beecroft Peninsular, but Ms Tuffery refused to divulge its location while local officials warn reaching it can be exceedingly dangerous

Once arriving at the cave, the couple found a table that had been setup overlooking the ocean

‘We were so scared but it was so refreshing when we found it because you can’t see it from up the top [of the cliff],’ Ms Tuffery told Daily Mail Australia.

‘We had to bend down and peak over the rocks but as soon as we saw it, it was just the best feeling.’

In footage shared to her TikTok, Ms Tuffery and her partner are seen sitting on a bench that had been setup in the cave.

The spot has been around since the 80s and was once used by fishermen but locals are trying hard to keep it a secret.
