Serena Williams sings karaoke with gal pals in ‘Happy’ Super Bowl LV spot for Michelob ULTRA

Tennis pro Serena Williams showcased her love of karaoke with gal pals in the ‘Happy’ commercial for Michelob ULTRA, which aired at noon EST during Sunday’s Super Bowl LV telecast.

The Michigan-born 39-year-old gripped the microphone alongside her friends during the one-minute ad set to Lou Reed’s 1972 song Walk on the Wild Side.

‘What if we were wrong this whole time? Wrong in thinking that joy happens only at the end – after the sacrifice, after the commitment, after the win,’ the narrator said.

‘What if happiness has always been there fueling a run towards greatness. It’s not a distraction but, instead, something more vital. What if joy is the whole game not just the end game? So ask yourself: are you happy because you win, or do you win because you’re happy?’

Serena – who boasts 20.4M social media followers – wrote on Instagram Sunday: ‘Enjoying your own process is so important. @MichelobULTRA and I want to recognize that. #JOYWINS.’

Other A-list athletes in the light beer spot included Los Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis playing chess and Orlando Pride soccer star Alex Morgan playing ping pong.

On Monday, Williams won her first match against German rival, Laura Siegemund, with a score of 6-1 at the Australian Open.
