Several ‘injured’ after fairground ride collapses in Northern Ireland

  • Emergency services are said to have attended Carrickfergus Harbour in Belfast
  • Harbour in Northern Ireland is hosting Planet Fun until middle of next month
  • Multiple injuries but none are thought to be serious, according to local reports 
  • Planet Fun said that it will be ‘closed tonight for the 7.30pm-10.30pm session’

Several people have reportedly been left injured after a fairground ride collapsed in Northern Ireland.

Emergency services are said to have attended Carrickfergus Harbour on the north shore of Belfast Lough, which is hosting Planet Fun until the middle of next month.

None of the injuries are thought to be serious, according to the Causeway Coast Community.

Planet Fun posted to Facebook at around 6.45pm: ‘Important update!! 

‘Please note that due to unforeseen circumstances Planet Fun will be closed tonight for the 7.30pm-10.30pm session.

‘All tickets will automatically be refunded.’
