Shooter at Michigan high school in custody, at least 1 student shot

A shooter at a Michigan high school was taken into custody on Tuesday after at least one student was shot and four other people were injured, according to police. 

Oakland County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to Oxford High School just before 1:00 p.m. ET, FOX 2 Detroit reports. 

A suspect was taken into custody and a handgun was recovered at the scene, according to the local news outlet. 

No fatalities have been reported.

Several ambulances and dozens of police officers were outside of the high school following the shooting. A medical helicopter from the University of Michigan landed in the school’s parking lot around 2:00 p.m. ET. 

Other students are being bused from the school.
