Sir Gerhard fought hard to give jockey Rachael Blackmore yet more success at this year’s Cheltenham Festival.
The second favourite was pushed all the way to the line by Kilcruit but held on to win the final race on Wednesday.
It was another really intelligent ride by Blackmore, who a day earlier had become the first female jockey to win the Champion Hurdle.
