The fish-eye lens camera footage was recorded in Stanton in California, America.

In the video, the unnamed skateboarder emerges into view wearing a black t-shirt and jeans as he approaches a set of concrete stairs.

The wheels can be heard whirring along the ground before he then attempts to complete his trick.

He shifts his weight on to the rear kicktail of the skateboard in an attempt to get it off the ground to slide down the handrail.

But suddenly he appears to have overshot the distance and misses the sidebar completely.

Instead, he is sent flying forward and hurtles towards a metal signpost that has been erected in the car park to mark designated spaces for disabled blue badge holders.

He crashes into it with a clatter as his skateboard gets thrown wildly in the opposite direction.

The signpost is left nudged out of place as the skateboarder plummets to the ground with a thud.

He lays flat on his stomach for a few brief moments before talking back to the cameraman.

The skateboarder chuckles nervously before saying: ‘I’m good, dog. I’m good. It hurt so much though.’

He lays back down on the floor to recover and the video ends shortly after.

It is not thought that he sustained any serious injuries during the mishap.

Another skateboarder, based in New Orleans, Louisiana, was recently left in a wheelchair for three months while nursing a fractured pelvis after he was hit by a car while attempting to complete a trick by the road side.
