Steve Clarke’s Scots reached this stage thanks to a penalty shootout win over Isreal, while Northern Ireland also required spot-kicks to get past Bosnia & Herzegovina.

The match being available on free-to-air television will be a comfort to Scotland and Northern Ireland supporters as fans of some Premier League teams fork out £14.95 in order to watch their match this weekend.

The pay-per-view service for England’s top-flight is expected to be discontinued after the international break with the football authorities seeking other means to broadcast the games.
