South Australian Police desperately search Lake Alexandria after man vanished on inflatable canoe

Desperate search is underway for one of two men who went missing in an inflatable canoe

  • A search of Lake Alexandrina, south of Adelaide, is currently underway 
  • One of the two men who vanished on Friday morning was found at 2.45pm
  • A search of waters near Milang is still being conducted by police on jet skis 

A search of Lake Alexandrina, south of Adelaide, is underway for one of two men who went missing in an inflatable canoe.

Police say efforts are being centred on waters near Milang with officers using jet skis and a helicopter also involved.

Concerns were expressed about the two men at 11.30am on Friday.

One man was found in the water at 2.45pm and was being treated by ambulance crews for hypothermia.

The canoe has also been recovered.

The search for the second missing man is continuing.
