Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute should be given a second chance

Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were fired from Vanderpump Rules this week, along with two other contestants – Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni -for racist remarks in the past.

But Zack Wickham, who is friends with cast member Brittany Cartwright, said the women should be given a second chance. ‘I believe in giving people the opportunity to realize their mistakes and take true responsibility and take action instead of immediately jumping into this cancel culture,’ he said.

The TV vet also added that Jax Taylor, who some say should be let go as well for his past remarks, is really not that bad.

Zack shared him comments on Instagram on Thursday after Billie Lee and Faith Stowers said they were not comfortable with things said by Stassi, Kristen and Jax.

Earlier this month Stowers brought up a 2018 episode of Stassi’s podcast where Schroeder accused her of crimes she did not commit. Doute even called the police Stowers.

Zack said: ‘The implications of calling the police of people of color is an issue that this country is finally addressing as a major problem.’

But he said the two ladies had a ‘source.’

He said: ‘They didn’t call just to frame her due to the color of her skin like any ‘Karen’ would.’

The long note: 'I believe wholeheartedly in holding people accountable for any and all forms of discrimination. But I also believe in giving people the opportunity to realize their mistakes and take true responsibility and take action instead of immediately jumping into this cancel culture,' he said

He added that Doute is ‘one of the most generous and kind humans.’

Zack also praised Jax, whom Stowers has said should leave the show.

‘I’ve known Jax Taylor since he started dating my best friend Brittany Cartwright. And I will say, there is no one quite like him,’ Wickham, said.

Now in tears: Schroeder is not faring well after she was fired from her reality TV show. ‘He makes you laugh, he makes you angry, he can be stubborn as hell … Jax is also the perfect TV villain and has played into that very well over the past eight seasons.’

Zack did admit that Jax has done some bad things (like cheating on Brittany) but ‘there’s a big difference between being a controversial person on TV and an ass on Twitter than being accused of being a racist, homophobic and transphobic.’

And he said Lee is just trying to get attention.

‘Truth is, [Billie Lee] didn’t add much drama or fun to the show, so she ultimately resorted to trying to stir up drama by insinuating that the cast is transphobic, which again is not even remotely true,’ he said.

‘Now, I will briefly touch on Faith. She was our close friend (even after Bravo didn’t have her film anymore). Faith intentionally went after Jax to get together with him (and clearly was doing it for press). She did it to try and have a story line on the show,’ Wickham alleged. ‘I am in disbelief as to the claims Faith is now making.’

Ticket holders for her show at the Basie Centre in New Jersey were notified via email that the show had been axed and were advised that tickets would be refunded.

‘Stassi has been very emotional by this situation and has been sad and crying, and also angry,’ a source told Us Weekly.

‘She feels blindsided that she was fired and lost her podcast and sponsorships.’

On June 7 Stassie apologized: ‘It is important that I continue to take accountability for what I have said and done, while pushing myself to do better.

‘I have grown significantly from the person I was then, and I am still filled with remorse and regret for the hurt I caused. … What I did to Faith was wrong. I apologize and I do not expect forgiveness.’

Stassi’s publicist and agent let her go and her popular podcast Straight Up with Stassi has been removed from all streaming platforms.

‘We recently learned of racially charged and inappropriate actions by Stassi Schroeder during one of her previous projects,’ wrote the show’s broadcaster Radio.com in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

The statement continued: ‘In light of this, Radio.com has made the decision to part ways with her. We take these matters very seriously and condemn these actions.’

‘‘Straight Up with Stassi’ has been removed from our portfolio.’

Recaps of the podcast are still available on her personal website.

The action likely stems from accusations by Stassi’s African-American co-star on Vanderpump Rules, Stowers, who claimed that Schroeder and another white cast member Doute filed a false police report against her for a crime she did not commit.
