Strictly’s Ranvir Singh declares there’s only room in her life for her son and DOG

Her Strictly Come Dancing experience has been plagued by rumours of a romance with her professional dancer partner Giovanni Pernice.

But Ranvir Singh casually brushed off any such talk as she declared there’s no room in her life for anyone apart from her son and her dog.

In a candid new interview with Prima magazine, the Good Morning Britain presenter, 43, opened up on the two main loves of her life – her boy and her work – adding that there’s ‘little room for anything else’.

Speaking about her home life, Ranvir, who shares son Tushaan, eight, with estranged husband Ranjeet Singh Dehal, said her focus is currently on her son and new dog Shmizzels.

She explained: ‘Will there ever be any room for another person with my son and I? We have a dog now, too! We got him in lockdown; he’s a little cockapoo called Shmizzels. He’s so cute and needy, the poor little thing. I love him and I can’t imagine life without him now.’

Ranvir also discussed how her work is hugely important to her and with being a single mother, she has little room in her life for much else.

Speaking of her successful broadcasting career, she said: ‘I’ve achieved loads and it’s been amazing, but it all takes it out of you. It leaves very little room for anything else, especially when you’re a single mum.’

She added that everything has been ‘focused’ on those ‘two main loves of my life’, emphasising that she needs to juggle them ‘really well’ and does ‘the best’ that she can do with them.

Meanwhile, Ranvir and Giovanni have been doing amazingly well on Strictly, having so far made it to week 7’s musicals week on Saturday.

Discussing how she’s found the BBC dance competition, Ranvir hilariously compared it to ‘childbirth’, comparing the dances to ‘labour’ that has to be ‘pushed out’.

She exclaimed: ‘Strictly is a bit like childbirth. You really want it, and you talk to loads of people who’ve done it before and they tell you it’s painful, but it’s all worth it. Then you go into ‘labour’ and you realise it’s horrific! You’re in the throes of actual pain and you have to push this dance out at the end of the week.’

Ranvir was recently forced to play down any romance rumours with Giovanni, 30, after her co-star Piers Morgan, 55, quizzed her about it on Monday’s GMB.

The TV personality insisted the steamy performances the couple have put on during Strictly are just for the cameras, saying it was a ‘fantasy’ and ‘part of the magic of Strictly.’

Referring to the Italian dancer in her chat with Prima, she told how they were on ‘different ends of the spectrum’ when it came to the show.

She told how Giovanni is ‘deeply competitive’, while she’s just competitive with herself as she strives to ‘do my best.’

She added that her ‘biggest challenge’ on Strictly is to remain upbeat and ‘enthusiastic’ when her body is in agony and her brain is exhausted.

This Saturday’s show will see Ranvir and Giovanni dance the Viennese Waltz to She Used To Be Mine from the West End and Broadway hit Waitress.
