Student teacher, 21, reveals the outfits that she’s had ‘dress-coded’ at school – but do YOU think there’s anything wrong with her wardrobe?

A student teacher has revealed how she was disciplined by her principal after wearing a white dress to work.
Alison Mutarelli, 21, from Delaware, took to TikTok she was ’embarrassed’ when her above-the-knee white dress and long black cardigan were called out by her superior.
In a clip she shared online, she explained: ‘I got dress coded at school today. I was student teaching and both my partner and I were wearing dresses and the principal told us to dress for the jobs that we want.
‘So now I’m extremely embarrassed and I don’t know what to wear to student teaching anymore.’

Alison then went through a series of outfit choices that she would have comfortably worn to work but said she was doubting her decisions.
The first was a floral dress that she said was ‘nice and long but it’s tight’.
Despairingly she said: ‘I don’t know if this would be ok or not but I think it’s super cute’, concluding ‘I don’t think I can wear it’.
Alison went on to show a flowing gingham green dress with puff sleeves, a cropped lilac sweater vest over a short-sleeved shirt and an oversized white shirt tucked into black trousers.
Alison said she was ’embarrassed’ and ‘stressed’ by the incident and posted a video asking about other outfits she previously thought were appropriate
Analyzing her style, she said: ‘I don’t know if that seemed inappropriate or not and I am literally just so stressed.’
She ended the video with a plea for help, saying: ‘I kind of thought that we had a pretty chill dress code but I guess not.
‘I don’t know what to do and if anyone has any suggestions please let me know.’
TikTok users flocked to offer their support with one user commenting: ‘This is why we are losing good people! Nothing wrong with any of the outfits.’
Alison also tried different tops and ended the video asking for advice saying she ‘didn’t know what to do’
Another added: ‘I have worn the first dress you have many times teaching for the past two years.’
Teachers offered guidance in the comments, with one saying: ‘I’m a teacher – the length is fine, it’s more than likely the neck line and low cut/open back.
‘I typically do t-shirt dresses.’
One added a red flag emoji, adding: ‘not a school you want to work for.’

Another wrote: ‘Don’t accept a job from a principal worried about your perfectly fine outfits is a power move. Don’t let them win.’
But Alison isn’t the first teacher to reveal they were dress-coded by a fellow teacher at school.
Meimei, who goes by @meimonstaa on social media, earlier this year shared a number of videos documenting what she wears to work, including the offending outfits — and commenters are outraged her on behalf, arguing that there is nothing wrong with her clothing choices and that she is simply being targeted because she is young.
